Oil prices rose unexpectedly by 20% by the end of the week. This was due to reports on the agreement to reduce oil supplies between the US and Russia.

Unemployment in the US set a new record. The number of applications for unemployment benefits increased almost twice per week - up to 6.648 million.

On the other hand, unemployment in Europe is declining in March, even amid a pandemic.

The dollar is strengthening against risky currencies because investors expect the strongest economic recession in 10 years.
